Explore Elephant Cave & Ma Da Valley 1 Day
Morning: Headquarters – Elephant Cave
At around 8:00 am, the tour guide will pick you up at your accommodation and take you back to the office. Here, you will receive necessary items such as water, towels, etc., listen to information about the tour schedule, recommendations and sign the Exemption Form. Then, the car will take you deep into the core area of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park to the starting point. Here, the group will follow the trail up to the entrance of Voi Cave, hidden behind the trees of the Ke Bang forest, a large cave will gradually appear before your eyes with a cool breeze. The group will stop to rest, recharge with snacks and cakes. Next, the safety assistant will help you put on a helmet with a flashlight and gloves to start exploring this cave.
You will move on the mossy rocky terrain, weaving between the stalactites sparkling in the dark, listening to the history of the cave’s formation and historical stories about a glorious war time, when Voi Cave was once a stronghold of our army during the resistance war. This amazing journey will surely take you from one surprise to another full of impressions.
Noon: Elephant Cave – Ma Da Valley
After exploring Voi Cave and taking pictures at the back door, the group returned and continued moving to the campsite in Ma Da Valley. When you are tired, you will immediately be “cooled” by swimming in the cool, clear Ma Da Lake. Lunch is prepared on the lakeside, with attractive grilled dishes prepared by the chefs. Along with the specialty “Moi Cheo” of Phong Nha land, the meal will definitely leave many special impressions on you..
Afternoon: Ma Da Valley – Tra Ang Valley – Headquarters
After lunch, the group continues trekking through the forest to Tra Ang valley – where Tra Ang water cave is more than 600 meters long. Stop at the campsite, the safety assistant will help you put on life jackets and wear headlamps to explore this unique water cave.
After finishing, the group will return to the campsite to enjoy hot tea or coffee, continue moving to return to Road 20 Quyet Thang after about 15 minutes of trekking. Here, the car is waiting to take the group back to the office and end the journey.
